Cast vinyl on a bakkie or panel van is outdoor advertising that lives in traffic, dust and Pretoria heat. Install quality matters — so does how you wash and park it. Logistics fleets and trade vehicles see the wrap every day; a few habits keep the brand readable longer.
Wash and dry
- Hand wash with mild soap; avoid aggressive brush tunnels that catch edges
- Do not aim high-pressure jets straight at seams, mirrors or door edges
- Dry with a soft cloth so grit does not grind the laminate
Heat, parking and edges
Long hours in full sun bake dark wraps. Shade when you can. If an edge lifts, tape it temporarily and book a repair — water under the film ruins more panel than a small re-stick. Do not peel a wrap yourself unless you are ready for adhesive residue and possible paint risk on older vehicles.
When to refresh
Faded colour, cracked laminate or a logo that no longer matches the shopfront means the moving billboard is advertising the wrong story. Partial refreshes (doors, rear doors) often cost less than a full strip-and-replace. Send photos of the current wrap and we will say what is worth saving.
The same Maroelana workshop that prints Correx and fascias fits wraps, so colour can match the rest of your brand — not a cousin of the logo from another supplier.
