Plan Photo Repro started in 1958 as a photographic reproduction studio under Frank Bands. The work has changed — ammonia plans gave way to digital presses, and the shop grew into signage and, more recently, booking and custom systems — but the address is still Pretoria, and the habit is still production: take the file, make the thing, get it right.
Printing and the copy shop
Day to day we are a working print and copy shop: documents, plans, posters, flyers, binding, laminating and the jobs that walk in with a USB or a WhatsApp. Large format sits next to short-run colour — architects’ drawings and retail posters share the same floor, not a call centre in another province.
Signage, wraps and pylons
The signage desk covers shopfront branding, lightboxes, 3D letters, ACM, vehicle wraps and pylon work. That is fabrication and install as much as print: measuring, cutting, mounting and making sure outdoor colour holds up. Branding for Pretoria and Gauteng businesses is meant to be seen from the pavement and the highway, not only on a laptop.
Web, booking and modular PPR systems
Alongside the press, Leslie builds practical web tools for owner-run shops — booking diaries, quoting and custom systems rather than generic brochure sites. We call the approach modular PPR: pick the pieces you need, keep them maintainable, and tie them to how the counter actually runs. It is the yellow plate on our home page for a reason — systems that expose the diary, not just a pretty homepage.

Why the CMYK desks on the website
The home page uses cyan, magenta, yellow and key black as four “desks” — printing, signage, web systems and heritage — because process colour is how print shops still think. Full colour on paper is built from those four inks; our services are built the same way: separate plates, one registered job. If you want the technical side explained in plain language, read our short guide to CMYK in digital printing.
