Why architects still walk into a shop
Office plotters jam, run out of roll, or print a set that looks fine on screen and soft on A0. A production shop stocks bond and film, knows when a PDF will hold, and can turn a set while you wait when the council or contractor needs it today. Scanning old hard-copy drawings into a clean archive sits on the same floor.
Practical checklist before you send
- Confirm sheet size (A0, A1, custom) and how many copies
- Embed fonts or outline text in the PDF
- Say if you need film, colour fills or mono linework
- Bring a previous printed sheet if colour or scale must match last time
